Valuing Hidden Differences
Adjustments
Focusing on how adjustment are essential for a neurodivergent person with differences to maintain their stability.
Background
A neurodivergent person with hidden differences can face many life challenges and boundaries. Because they live with the limitations of ability and capacity, they have to modify how they live their lives to maintain their stability.
This means they have to make modifications & adjustments to make sure their difficulties don't affect their ability to function and not to be a burden to others.
To enable a person to let their difficulties affect the ability to function and to manage the specific situation, they have to adopt some adjustments.
Examples
The examples of adjustments can be manifested in a variety of ways.
Communication
When communicating their points to others some neurodivergent people need to make notes to prepare on what to say and the ability to communicate effectively. If a person with differences is not able to take notes, then they are not likely to be able to say all the points effectively. This is due to memory related difficulties. However, this can mean a person with differences can receive destructive criticism without considering the difficulties they live with.
Listening to others
If a neurodivergent person with differences is receiving too much information or communicated with something which is not familiar, it can it very difficult to retain Infomation on what has mentioned. So some people with differences have make note taking to prevent struggling. However, some people with differences can be unfairly discriminated by attacking their intelligence and adjustments.
Tasks (projects, actions and projects)
During specific tasks, many people with differences struggle to follow and complete certain tasks. Especially if the task is not familiar or is complicated. Just like communication some people use and follow notes to prevent leaving any actions out.
Modify ability speeds
Some neurodivergent people need to modify their ability speeds to prevent accidents and clumsiness. Especially during very tight spaces and when handing delicate items.
Main Point
