Support statement

Plus Value Awareness support statement by Project Director Keith McKenzie

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is an essential event, which must be recognised positively to change and improve attitudes towards people with specific neurological differences.

Forward-thinking, embracing neurodivergent individual's opportunities in education, employment, business, communities and the rest of society.
Going further the importance with representative voices of Neurodiversity as citizens.

Everyone has a role to play to reduce any stigma and other boundaries. The more achievers the reduction of any typecasts & ignorance.

We need to also embrace Neurodiversity opportunities that must go beyond education & employment opportunities and also include business start-ups and entrepreneurship.

This can go a long way to reducing any stigma and other boundaries. The more achievers the reduction of any typecasts & ignorance.

Also, we need to take a look and how Neurodiversity can be beneficial to projects & activities which can help shape communities positively. In addition, becoming an active participant using their unique insight and experiences can be beneficial to society as a whole.

Neurodiversity must not be used as a characteristics judgement against specific conditions or difficulties. Instead, improve the knowledge of the ground level context and insight of each person as well as any intentions before making any judgement.

Plus Value Awareness supports an essential awareness event. Reminding everyone to look beyond a person's difficulties and to focus on the positive strengths and attributes for individuals with specific hidden differences.
