Neurodiversity can be associated with the word superpower, but it is not a gimmick phrase. Many people do not realise that people who live with certain neurological difficulties have many strengths and positive attributes.

The examples of positives include monitoring, analysis, analytic mindsets and a lot more. Some have specific detail abilities related to specific occupations.

Overall, a neurodivergent including hidden differences can be very dedicated through their strengths and attributes.

As well as the immediate strengths and qualities some people with neurological difficulties have forward-thinking hidden possibilities. This can be very beneficial related to long-term strategies, solutions solving and better ideas to approach a particular project, environment or particular services.
For examples of strengths and attributes of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Social Anxiety visit the Advantage project

Advantage

Not just employment and education
When it comes to neurodiversity we need to look beyond focusing on opportunities to do with employment and education. We also need to be forward-thinking with examples such as a community participant or an active role in focused groups to enable better services for businesses communities and organisations. Also, active participation in particular activity groups in local communities.

Role models & achievers
Many neurodiverse people have become achievers and models in their own right. From communities, businesses, through certain occupations along with music, entertainment and media.
For examples of achievers of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Social Anxiety visit the Diverse Achievers page

Diverse Achievers

So in summary, when somebody mentions the term "superpower", it is not a gimmick there are real positives with neurodiversity. The strengths and attributes are not the same for each person so it is all of us who need to discover and explore a person's potential and possibilities.

However, everyone must stop making negative excuses and pay more attention om the positives rather than perceptions.
