by Project Director Keith McKenzie
Loneliness doesn't just happen to senior citizens & other vulnerable individuals but can also occur towards independent young people and adults who live with hidden differences.
This can happen after facing constant negative experiences of marginalisation, exclusion and alienation. Examples such as intolerance, rejection, prejudice, discrimination hate and physical disruptions.
We all must listen and take seriously the expressions, experiences & insight from a person with differences. Ultimately they need to welcomed, appreciated, supported and encourages to make sure loneliness can be combated towards inclusion.
