Differences Originals (formerally Differences & Autism Challenge) is the original family of Awareness projects. This was originally made up of two initiative brands. It started with autism challenge in the year 2000 (click on the link below for the detailed history between 2000 & 2015) focusing on the issues affects the lives of people on the autistic spectrum. However because some of the issues featured applies to more people beyond the autistic spectrum leading to Differences initiative was launched.

2015 

The two brands was combined together as differences & autism challenge to coincide the launch of Plus Value Awareness (orginally known as plus Value before it was rebranded to the current name in 2006) with asssociated linked between the both initiatives. 

2016

Major structure changes occurred with Differences & Autism Challenge along with Plus Value Awareness is becomes part of a parent identity Plus Value Fusion as presented as portfolio of social aim services & products for business, communities & the rest of society.

2017

Due to unplanned disruptions due an online image library provider blocked images. The seperate website of Differences & Autism Challenge was temporarly offline since July 2017 for 7 months.

2018

Differences & Autism challenge has become an integrated part of plus Value Awareness family with the online presence transferred inside Plus Value Awareness website. Despite the major changes Differences & Autism challenge maintain it's distinctive integrity with projects & features. While retaining its individual entity. Differences & Autism Challenge initiative is now positioned as the backbone of Plus Value Awareness with a specialised series of projects & potential services as a packages.

Starting in May 2019

During the spring months of 2019, a special feature "Diverse Differences Special" was developed to support 5 different awareness during May & June (including Neurodiversity Awareness Week, Mental Health Awareness Week, Loneliness Awareness Week and Autism Pride Day). This feature was also showcasing special bite-size version of featured and forthcoming projects & campaigns. This feature was developed on a trial basis on how the presentation and content could potentially refresh the way the awareness initiative presented. A family of the diverse versions of forthcoming projects including Achievers & Combat Loneliness.

July 2019

After the successful responses online & on social media this feature got converted into a permanent feature renamed as "Diverse Differences" and expanded to support more awareness events all year round and to include and improved awareness events calendar. (Transferred from The "Awareness Series"). 

An additional preview of forthcoming projects was added including Awareness Senses and Keywords.

After 8 years of online existence (including with Differences Autism Challenge), the Awareness Series has come to an end with the content was transferred to the features "Diverse Differences" & "Understanding hidden differences which is renamed "Understanding Series" 

October 2019

The second annual "Awareness October" return which now part of the pop-up online specials 5 times a year within the "Diverse Differences" Feature. This edition of Awareness October has expanded further to Black History Month and Hate Crime Awareness week. An addition to support ADHD Awareness Month, the awareness weeks for Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, Invisible Disabilities Week and World Mental Health Day.

May 2020

This feature changes its name to Differences Orginals after the autism challenge name was used negatively on the social media platform TikTok with a trend of horifying and offesntive videos which discriminated against autsitic people. So the name change was made to distant itself from that online stigma.

December 2020

For the first time since Differences Orginals became part of the Plus Value Awareness back in 2015, two new awasreness projects has been developed to coincide the first-ever  human rights special, 

Elements of Value:

The information and visual art project which explore the five ethical elements of the plus value awareness initiative. The message of the project is to go beyond understanding acceptance and support in valuing a person with hidden differences

Value & Dignity:

The information project with the importance of respecting and valuing the human rights and dignity of a person with differences.

June 2021

As part of the rebranding of Plus Value Awareness an updated idenity was developed for the Differences Originals feature
