Support statement from Keith Mckenzie, Project Director
We must not underestimate black and other multicultural voices with hidden differences and their life experiences. They can face many challenges with their voices on their experiences insight.
We must stop dismissing & silencing the voices from hidden differences living with an ethnic background. This includes their insight, context and any sort of injustice they face.
Any positive suggestions from multicultural individuals with hidden differences must be heard & listened to. Communities, businesses and public authorities shouldn't be used as tokenism and instead, listen better, have an open mind and make better progress.
We all need to acknowledge the achievers and role models of black and other multicultural individuals with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Social Anxiety.
Living as a black & autistic person should not be a punishment or be made to feel shamed from other people's prejudice

Event Information
Black History Month is an annual awareness event to remind the world of the history of the black communities including achievements & accomplishments. The event started in the United States in 1970 after a proposal to educate on a year earlier to educators at Kent State University in Ohio. This event expanded to many countries including Canada, Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
This event was first observed in the United Kingdom in 1989 and in Ireland in 2010.
The event is observed annually & during different months in different parts of the world. In North America, it is observed in February while in Europe it is observed in October.
2020 was one of the most iconic years of Black History Month in living memory. The civil liberty movement becomes more prominent, this is due to an escalating series of injustices that have cost too many African American lives in the United States. Internationally, nations around the world are reminding everyone not to forget the injustice and racism which still occurring.
