Support statement from Keith Mckenzie, Project Director

We are living in a very demanding & judgemental time. However, it is never an exceptional excuse to bully any person of the autistic spectrum. A lot of experiences can be wrongly underestimated and rejected without checking the context of an autistic person experiences and what causes a person to bully. However, it is never acceptable to blame any autistic person for the mistreatment they face.

If we want to have a fairer society we need to value people on the autistic spectrum and just show some support when they are facing bad experiences. Bullying isn't just one-off name-calling or physical abuse it can escalate it can ruin an autistic person's livelihood, personal safety and life.

So it is everyone's responsibility to be more supportive towards an autistic person where it's a family, friends, community members, politicians, public authorities, businesses and governments.
