The creator of Plus Value Awareness, Keith McKenzie was nominated by Google's Digital Garage team in Birmingham for the Thrive Mental Health awards by West Midlands Combined Authority with the awareness website help improve supporting a staff member living with ADHD.

After a 7 month gap the online presence for Differences & Autism Challenge return with the orginal content becomes part of the Plus Value Awareness website.

At the same time Differences & Autism challenge has become an integrated part of plus Value Awareness family. Despite the major changes Differences & Autism challenge maintain its distinctive integrity. Now positioned as the backbone of Plus Value Awareness with a specialised series of projects & potential services as a packages

A prototype of a new style PowerPoint presentation document was developed with guidance by Google's Digital Garage. The smarter sense was developed as prototype education & training. It is designed for communities and citizens to move away from distorted perceptions and understand the human aspects of a person with differences towards a smarter sense of value.

A family of proposals was developed for potential services & products in the future. This includes Sustainable (relationship & interaction guidelines), Forwards (survival guide for Differences), Sense of Value Education (detailed Education document), Connect (personal development reference) and Smarter Senses (digital PowerPoint introduction presentation)

"Awareness Focus" was launched with customised addition of awareness in projects information and content within the specific conditions of autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

An online feature was developed initially on a trial basis. Diverse Differences Special was to develop to support a family of awareness events during the spring season because of the successful feedback social media became a permanent feature a few months later.

the events initially supported including neurodiversity awareness week, mental health awareness week, loneliness awareness week and autism awareness day. As part of the same feature new showcase project was launched including Diverse, Advantage & Diverse Achievers

Diverse Achievers was launched online as a preview of a future detailed project which lists names of key achievements who live with autism, ADHD dyslexia and dyspraxia and social anxiety. 

Also with supporting Loneliness awareness week a new showcase project was launched. "Combating Loneliness" was developed to address how Loneliness & isolation can occur and how solution and positive forward must be relevant to the person affect and not the general approach. A special version of the Advantage project was created. Titled "Diverse Advantage" it contains a snapshot summary of positive strengths and potential attributes by a person with Differences.

Plus Value Awareness started an ongoing transformation with modernising the awareness initiative projects, feature and a major rebranding online & on social media. As part of the changes, the Awareness Series was replaced with the feature of Diverse Differences & Understanding Series.

After the online success several months earlier, diverse differences special became a permanent feature. Renamed as simply diverse differences the online features expanded to support more awareness events all year round and to showcase a summary of the featured products and a new style awareness calendar (transferred from Awareness Series)

A family of suggestion & guidance documents was made for Birmingham's Latinmotion, the salsa dancing organisation and events provide solutions and possibilities to experences improve learning, social and general presence of those with hidden differences as a attendee or a volunteer during dancing conventions in August and December at Birmingham's NEC.

Awareness October mini-feature returned online for the second time. Now under the Diverse Differences feature it supported for the first time including Black History Month (UK), Hate crime awareness week and invisible disabilities week.

To coincide supporting Black history month new project multicultural differences was created. providing information and to consider issues to be aware of and a summary of solutions forward for those living with ethnic minorities and mixed-race individuals with hidden differences.

The Diverse Differences feature expanded further with supporting more events under "Awareness March", including International Women's Day, Neurodiversity Celebration Week, International Day of Happiness & Autism Awareness Week (UK). Record numbers of people viewing the social media posts to supporting International Women's Day with some of the posts was viewed by around 300 views within 24 hours.

The orginal awareness brands and the special online feature Differences & Autism Challenge changed its name to Differences Orginals after the autism challenge name was used negatively on the social media platform TikTok with a trend of horifying and offesntive videos which discriminated against autsitic people. So the name change was made and to distant itself from that online stigma.

The colour pallete used for cutsomised projects for autitsic sprectrum was changed after esclating expression on the use of of the blue a presented as dehumanising. To this awareness inititaive responded with a change of the colours to turquoise and yellow. Click here for details

Anti-bullying special

The Diverse Differences feature the first-ever anti-bullying special has been created to support the anti-bullying week and the annual campaign give us a break.

As part of the anti-bullying special, exclusive content has been developed to support one of the awareness events. This includes anti-bullying key points and the visual design which emphasizes the message saying no to bullying. This was developed exclusively for "give us a break" the annual campaign by Anna Kennedy OBE. This was featured on Anna's social media channels and on her website.

Human Rights Special 

The Diverse Differences features presents the first-ever human rights special feature has been developed to support "World Human Rights Day" which features awareness projects and content related to dignity, human rights and valuing the lives of hidden differences.

To coincide the human rights special, information and visual art project elements of value were launched. "Elements of Value" is a differences Originals project which explore the five ethical elements of the plus value awareness initiative. The message of the project is to go beyond understanding acceptance and support in valuing a person with hidden differences.

For the festive season, a special family of status templates has been developed for social media with extracts of some of the projects on this website. Also, special awareness messages during Christmas and New Year. The overall message is understanding and valuing with differences also applies to Christmas and New Year.
