Some members of society who does not have a good level of understanding of dyslexia can wrongly react with unfair intolerance and patience against their difficulties and ability. This can lead to intolerant attitudes and use this to attack their intelligence, character & integrity. This is without realising they have limitations on their abilities and coping mechanisms.
Other examples of mistreatments include deliberately exclude a dyslexic person from everyone else.
Main point:
Intolerant attitudes towards a dyslexic person is not acceptable and they should be instead supported and to respect their adjustments to maintain their stability.
Tips:
* Set aside your personal ethics and principles when you see a dyslexic person beyond any perceptions.
* The range of difficulties with each dyslexic person is not the same. So take time off to understand how it affects someone you know and understand and support their strengths as well
